ॐ प्रां प्रीं प्रौं सः शनैश्चराय नमः
oṃ prāṃ prīṃ prauṃ saḥ śanaiścarāya namaḥ
What does the Shani Beej Mantra mean?
Salutations to Shanaishchara, the slow-moving one. A beej (seed) mantra carries no descriptive sentence; the syllables themselves are the invocation, which is why they are transmitted unchanged.
When it is chanted
During Sade Sati, dhaiya, or a difficult Shani transit. Traditionally 23,000 recitations, on Saturdays, paired with daan of black til, urad and iron.
