About SevaPuja

We arrange Vedic rituals at Indian temples for people who cannot travel to them — and we show you the proof.

What is SevaPuja?

SevaPuja is an online puja booking service operating at 8 temples across India, currently offering 12 pujas. A devotee chooses a ritual, gives the names and gotras of everyone to be included, and a verified pandit performs the puja at the temple on its prescribed tithi, taking the sankalp in exactly those names. The devotee receives the full recorded video on WhatsApp within 3–5 days and temple prasad at home within 7–10 days. No travel is required, because in Vedic practice it is the sankalp that binds the ritual to a person, not their physical presence.

Why this exists

Most families have a puja they mean to have done and never manage — the Kaal Sarp Dosh remedy that needs a trip to Trimbakeshwar, the Maha Mrityunjay jaap for a relative in hospital, the Shani abhishek during Sade Sati. The obstacle is almost never belief. It is three days of leave, a train, and not knowing which pandit to trust once you arrive.

Performing a ritual on behalf of someone absent is not a modern shortcut; it is ordinary Vedic practice, and it is why the sankalp names a person and their lineage aloud. What was missing was a way to do it without wondering whether anything actually happened. That is the part we take seriously: every puja is recorded, and the recording is yours.

How a booking works

1. You choose a seva

Each puja names its temple, its tithi and what is actually performed — the abhishek, the jaap count, the hawan.

2. You give the sankalp

Names and gotras, entered after payment. These exact words are what the pandit speaks at the temple.

3. The puja is recorded

Performed on the tithi and filmed. The full video reaches your WhatsApp in 3–5 days.

4. Prasad reaches you

Couriered from the temple to your home within 7–10 days.

Every puja names the temple it is performed at. We do not list a temple we cannot actually reach.

What we will not do

We do not promise outcomes. No puja on this site is sold as a guaranteed cure, a guaranteed marriage or a guaranteed profit, and we will not tell you that a dosh will ruin your life unless you book today. If a puja is not the right remedy for what you are facing, or if what you need is a doctor or a lawyer, we would rather say so and lose the booking.

Frequently asked questions

Is the puja actually performed?

Yes, and you receive the full recorded video as proof — not a stock clip, but your own puja with the sankalp audible. If the video does not reach you within five days of the puja date, the booking is refunded in full.

Do I need to be present at the temple?

No. In Vedic practice it is the sankalp — the formal statement of intent naming you and your gotra — that binds the ritual to you, not your physical presence. This is why pujas have always been performed on behalf of absent family members.

How are the pandits verified?

Each pandit we work with is attached to the temple where the puja is performed, not sourced from a marketplace. We confirm their association with the temple, and every puja is recorded, which means the work is auditable in a way that an unrecorded ritual is not.

What is a gotra and what if I do not know mine?

A gotra is a patrilineal lineage traced to one of the ancient rishis, and it is spoken in the sankalp to identify you. If you do not know yours, Kashyap is traditionally used and is the default we offer.

Does SevaPuja promise results?

No. We are responsible for arranging the ritual described, at the temple described, on the tithi described, and for delivering the video and prasad. What follows from an act of faith is not something we or anyone else can promise, and we will never sell a puja as a guaranteed outcome.
